Aleshire Center Launches New Website and Database

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

The new website, designed by Amit Asaravala of returncontrol.com with input from Professor Emily Mackil (History), includes a fully searchable online database of the Center's holdings. These include not only books and offprints but also our squeeze and photo holdings, complete with digital images. An earlier iteration of this database was designed pro bono by Max Christoff, sine quo non. The process of data entry and scanning our photos and squeezes was begun in 2009; new acquisitions will constantly be added. This work has been and continues to be performed by a series of graduate student researchers at Berkeley, whose invaluable assistance is deeply appreciated.
